Skull #1 is a mosaic / full-bleed printed poster comprised of 620 gravestone carving and inscription detail photographs, giving it a unique texture.

This was the genesis of Chris Wrenn's Rest In Pieces™ gravestone mosaic art. The original art piece was finished in 1997 and printed as a 27" x 36" poster in 1998, this image was 100% analog in its creation. Each of the 620 pieces were photographed on film, printed one at a time in a dark room onto photo paper, and affixed by Chris on a six foot tall backing board. The final mosaic (sadly, lost to time) was then photographed and a large format negative was created, from which this resulting poster was scanned and printed.

These are the last remaining inventory from that original 1998 printing. Posters are in very good condition, but please be aware that they are 23+ years old and may have minor imperfections on the edge (which will not be noticeable when framed).
