Pause for a Worthy Cause: The Claddagh Fund
Posted by on
For the second year in a row, the Sully's Crew has had the honor of working with an important local charity, the Claddagh Fund. Formed by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys, the Claddagh Fund works to raise money to help local underfunded non-profit organizations. They have helped out places like My Brother's Keeper (Easton, MA), The Dorchester Boys & Girls Club, The Fransiscan Hospital for Children (Boston), the Boston Center for Youth & Families and countless more needy organizations.
On Wednesday the Claddagh Fund held their second annual golf tournament down Cape Cod at the Ballymeade Country Club and the TCG. The Sully's Crew worked both courses, giving away Believe in Boston (Black & Gold) shirts to all participants. It was great to hear all the positive feedback about our work; we thank you for taking time out of your busy day to support a worthy cause.
Highlights included shaking Bobby Orr's hand, watching Ken ride around in a golf cart shooting people in the butt with a BB gun, and lending a hand to a successful event. We do not want to get into the name drop game, but it was a pleasure to hang with many Boston sports greats again. The only downside was the rain, which of course had to come down the hardest when we were packing up our tent.
