RIP Gary Carter

The Sully's Crew was saddened to learn on the untimely passing of Baseball Hall of Famer Gary Edmund Carter .
One of our favorite Expos of all-time and one of our least favorite Mets of all-time. Cater's love for the game was evident in his intensely passionate play. Gary's eleven years in Montreal established him as perennial All-Star, frequent MVP candidate, and the face of baseball in Canada. At this period of time the Expos were still a young team and the Blue Jays did not exist. Carter was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame as player in 2003 on 387 of the 496 (78%) ballots cast. Cater passed at the age of 57, which was also his original number when he broke into the league.
