The Instigators: Episode 14 - Quiet Trade Market

This week’s installment The Instigators: LIVE had Tom moderating the discussion between our favorite Instigators, Billy J and the Brick.
One key point of discussion centered on whether or not the Bruins needed to make a deal at the deadline. If the Bs intend to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions, they absolutely have to make a move. We would like to see them pick up another defensemen and another winger.
The key to the deadline will be Horton’s health. If Boston can’t count on Horton being ready to go, they absolutely will have to add another top nine forward. We like Caron, but he is still developing the comparativeness and scoring touch Boston needs to repeat. And while Pouliot has netted some key game-winning goals, he might fit better bumped down on the fourth line.
Sheriff Shane Hnidy is not walking through that door, so the Bruins will need a new seventh defensemen. Steven Kampfer is injury prone and not a strong enough presence in the defensive zone. Joe Corvo’s has had an inconsistent season, if someone had to go he appears to be the weak link.
