They Still Make Those? Dropkick Murphys 7" Picture Disc

Posted by on

So it's not exactly common knowledge but the Sully's crew not only has our finger on the pulse of Boston sports, but also on the pulse of Boston Hardcore & Punk. In this case, Celtic Punk. That's because we share our office with the independent label Bridge Nine Records - who have had the distinct honor of releasing a 2 song 7 inch picture disc record with the Dropkick Murphys, to coincide with their week of shows leading up through St. Patrick's day. We thought we'd show them some love on this blog because a) they're our office mates and we want to hook them up and b) it's for the Dropkick Murphys, who we have also recently had the honor of collaborating with. What exactly is a 7" picture disc record? Well, it's a vinyl record but instead of being solid vinyl it has a full color picture in the middle of it, and it has two songs on it. In this case, the 2 songs were recorded live by the Dropkicks at where else but FENWAY PARK during their couple of sold out shows there last fall. Also, there was a one time edition of 1,000 copies of this record made, so it's super limited (considering the band has sold millions of records!). Grab one over in the B9 store HERE while you can, and make sure to check out our exclusive Dropkicks merchandise HERE!

Oh, you don't have a record player? No problem! Grab this collectible vinyl to display on your wall!
