Claddagh Fund's 1st Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament a Success!

The Sully’s crew made the long trip down to Cape Cod this past Friday to participate in the Claddagh Fund’s 1st Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. Frank was camped out at the $10,000 Hole-in-One challenge on the 16th hole at the Golf Club of Cape Cod while Chris was in the Sully’s hospitality tent by the 18th hole at Ballymeade. With the Sox on the road, most of the celebrities were hockey players. We met a lot of cool people, including Ken Hodge, Tuukka Rask, Milan Lucic, Shawn Thornton, Andy Brickley, Jay Miller, Brian Leetch, Nick Boynton, Scott Pollard, Bobby Farrelly, Chris Collins, and Max Lane. It was an honor and a privilege to be able to hang with the above, but it was a lifelong dream come true to meet Bobby Orr. Everywhere Bobby goes people must hassle him for an autograph or a picture and he’s still the nicest guy.
After the tournament was complete, there was a generous dinner, several awards were handed out, and a raffle and auction raised additional income for the Fund. We have to tip our cap to Ken Casey for putting together an excellent function. You certainly would not have guessed that it was the first year of the event. We hope all the participants enjoy their Classic "Believe In Boston" Shamrock t-shirts and we hope to see you again next year!

And as far as golfing goes, look out for Shawn Thornton’s driver. He can definitely hit it long.
